Ya’ara, on the border of Lebanon, has a mixed Jewish and Bedouin population.  The project, implemented through Galila in 2010/11, provided for the transformation of a run-down building into a children and youth centre.

The Weizmann Institute’s National Postdoctoral Award Program for Advancing Women in Science
A new, Israel-wide initiative put forward by the Weizmann Institute, aims to assist highly talented young women to work toward a career in the natural or exact sciences. The programme was established with the support of the Clore Israel Foundation and S. Donald Sussman. The goal is to begin closing the gap between male and female scientists in the highest ranks of academia.
