HOW TO APPLY:

PLEASE NOTE:

The present application round is now closed for further applications.

Please refer back to this site at the end of November 2010 for an update regarding our next round of applications.

Please refer to the Profile and Policy sections on this web site, to ascertain that your organisation is eligible to apply.

There are two phases to submitting applications to the Clore Israel Foundation:

1. Initial Application: First complete and submit the form for the Initial Application on-line – allowing sufficient time for your form to be sent before the deadline. The Foundation will only accept Initial Applications made online. In extreme cases where a computer is not available please discuss with the Executive Director of the Foundation.

  • Applications should be submitted in English.
  • The on-line form includes required fields that must be filled in for the Initial Application to be processed. We suggest that you review the Initial Application form before the deadline for submission, to make sure that all the required fields have been filled in. It will not be possible to assist with problems at the last minute.
  • Please make sure that your Amuta registration number (registered charity number) and other details of the organisation are accurate.
  • A text version of the form is provided (accessed from the on-line Initial Application).
We recommend that you prepare the text in advance and copy from it to the on-line application form, as this form cannot be saved on-line. Please do not send the text version by mail or e-mail. The Foundation will only accept the on-line Initial Application.
  • Once the Initial Application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation of submission and an Initial Application Number. Please print this confirmation, for future reference. Please note that if you have not received confirmation of submission, then your application has NOT been received by the Foundation office. Try to submit again. Please refer to the name of your organisation as it appears in the on-line form and to the Application number in all correspondence with the Foundation regarding your request.
  • It is possible to submit more than one project. Please consult with the Executive Director of the Foundation regarding this possibility.

After the deadline, the Foundation will respond in writing regarding the status of the Initial Application. The letter will be addressed to the director of the organisation and the contact person of the project and sent to the mailing address as it appears in the Initial Application.

If the Foundation is interested in exploring the request further, the applicant will be invited to submit a Full Proposal. Applicants will be notified of this as soon as possible, by an e-mail to the main e-mail address as it appears in the Initial Application.

2. Full Proposal:  If you have been asked to submit a Full Proposal, the appropriate guidelines will be e-mailed to you. You will be required to return this Full Proposal by e-mail, as an attachment, before the deadline for Full Proposals.

You will also be asked to submit additional material by messenger/courier. Please do not send applications by recorded delivery or registered post.

The additional material to be sent in case a Full Proposal is requested includes:

  • A letter on your organisation's letterhead, specifying the application number you received on submission of your on-line Initial Application form.
  • Two copies of a detailed budget breakdown for the project, both in U.S. Dollars and Shekels.
  • Two copies of the most recent final annual financial report and audited accounts
    (in Hebrew or English).
  • Two copies of your organisation’s registered charity certificate (Amuta).
  • Two copies of your organisation's Proper Management Certificate (אישור ניהול תקין).
  • Additional legal and financial information, as required.
  • Brochures and other supporting material may also be submitted, although only one copy of such supporting material is necessary.

Consideration of applications:

Applications are generally considered twice a year, in May and November.

The Trustees’ decision will be conveyed in writing. The letter will be addressed to the director and the contact person and sent to the mailing address as it appears in the Initial Application.

The Trustees' decision is final. The Clore Israel Foundation receives many applications each year. Most of these requests are denied due to limited resources. A denial does not necessarily reflect on the organisation or the quality of the project.
